Coupe Designer: Ghia Chassis Num: 1115-492162   This Maserati Ghibli coupe, in traditional red over tan, was originally delivered to Fred Taylor Rolls-Royce in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The Ghibli's body was designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro when an employee of Ghia. Its engine was a front-mounted V8 with four overhead cams that produced 330 horsepower. Its dry-sump lubrication system was one element of the car that recalled Maserati's great racing heritage. It allowed the engine to be mounted low in the chassis, facilitating a low hood line.
