This 1934 Lincoln (KB-3433) was originally built for the Hardenbergh Family, who built and part-owned the Plaza Hotel of New York City. The original chauffeur was interviewed at the age of 95 for the history of the car. The steering column and shift column were made longer to accommodate his short stature.
The Brunn Body Company of Buffalo, New York designated this body as an All-Weather Semi-Collapsible Cabriolet. The 'all weather', title referred to the inclusion of roll-up windows in the chauffeur's compartment, to keep inclement weather out. The 'semi-collapsible', refers to the rear one-third of the top being collapsible, but not the entire roof top assembly.
Other unique features include a cigar smoke vent in the roof, blue tail light lenses, mahogany interior wood, a leather top and a chauffeur's compartment modified for a short statured driver. This car carried series number 'One' of the Brunn Body Company for 1934. they produced two of these bodies. They ride on a chassis with a 145-inch wheelbase, motivated by a 150 horsepower V-12 engine.
This Lincoln has body serial number 1 of 2 built by the Brunn Body Company in 1934.
