1959 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham Brougham Hardtop

Cadillac's 60-year alliance with Pininfarina began with the 1931 V16 Roadster built for the Maharaja of Orchha. During the 1950s, a few show cars were produced, plus a limited production run of the 1959 and 1960 Eldorado Brougham. The bare chassis were shipped to Turin where Pinin Farina craftsmen installed this unique four-door hardtop coachwork. While the American-built 1959 Cadillacs are famous for somewhat outrageous styling, in contrast, the Brougham's Pinin Farina styling is quite restrained. Priced at $13,075, the Brougham was more than twice as expensive as the standard Cadillac Eldorado. Just 99 Broughams were built in 1959 and just eight are known to the Cadillac-LaSalle Club. The current owner bought the car in 1998 and it was carefully returned to its original color combination of black paintwork and gray interior.
