The 12-cylinder Cadillac production lasted from 1931 through 1937 and was produced in limited quantities with just 952 examples constructed. This particular example wears all-weather phaeton coachwork by Fisher and was sold new by Oliver Cadillac Company of St. Louis, Missouri. It wore a Thessalon Green exterior and its build sheet specified that the radiator shell, front and rear lights and their supports, and the brackets and supports for the horn all be finished identically to match the coachwork.
It is believed the car remained in St. Louis for most of its life, eventually entering the care of William K. Haverstick. Mr. Haverstick was active in early CCA events and drove it in part of the Club's fourth CARavan to the Gateway City in 1956. That spring, it was advertised in The Classic Car as being in 'perfect condition, 49,000 miles, runs like a '55 model.' The car later became part of Roy Warshawsky's collection and it is believed that its restoration was performed while in his care. The car currently wears a teal hue paint scheme similar to the original color, with a rich dark green leather interior and tan cloth top.
The car was later owned by Jerry Sauls and the Blackhawk Collection. Around the early 2000s, it was purchased by its current owner.By Daniel Vaughan | Apr 2022
