Mercedes-Benz introduced the AMG GT in 2015 as a successor to the SLS AMG, and it was the second sportscar to be developed entirely in-house by Mercedes-AMG. A Black Series variation arrived in 2021, bestowed with years of privateer and F1 motorsport experience, and its M178 LS2 twin-turbo V-8 engine (developed exclusively for the GT Black Series) produced 730 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque.
The range-topping Project One that arrived in 2022 was a $2.72-million hypercar that incorporates Formula 1 hybrid powertrain technology. Before its introduction, Mercedes offered a special edition of the GT Black Series exclusively to AMG Project One depositors, dubbed the 'P One Edition.' It is believed that 40 units were produced worldwide, including 24 for the U.S. market. Each example wore a distinctive livery inspired by the Mercedes-AMG F1 W11 EQ Performance race car. The Mercedes three-pointed stars are said to be hand-painted, as well as teal accents inside and out.
This particular Obsidian Black example has spent most of its existence hibernating in heated storage, on a battery tender, and under a car cover. It has 32 original miles. Among its list of factory options are Burmester high-end surround-sound package, Keyless-Go package, matte carbon-fiber crossbar, Lane Tracking package, and AMG carbon-fiber doorsill panels.
Shortly after delivery, the entire car was wrapped with XPEL clear protection film, then ceramic coating was applied and XR Nanoceramic window tint was installed.
