1994 Subaru Pleo

Pleo is designed to replace the Vivio. It has good styling, spacious cabin and advanced technology used. 4 engines can be chosen, 3 of them feature supercharger to boost low speed torque, this make it more accessible than its turbocharged rivals. The best selling one may be the 58hp 'mild charge' unit, which save an intercooler but still offer useful torque at low rpm.

Another unique feature is Subarus I-CVT (Intelligent CVT) transmission. It offers two operation mode, one of which is the normal CVT, which offers seamless shift and superior fuel efficiency than manual transmission. Another mode is a simulated manual mode operated by push-pull shifter at the transmission tunnel, as found in Nissan Primeras Hyper CVT M6 or the late Vivio RX-SSs 'Sport Shift'. The outgoing Vivio had 6 ratios, Pleo get one more. This should add more driver appeal.
