Company press release.

NEW OPERATIONS DIRECTOR TAKES REINS OF INFINITI GROWTH IN EUROPEROLLE, Switzerland – With Infiniti gearing up for rapid expansion in Europe, the company can announce the creation of a key new senior position to oversee sales growth in the region. On January 1, 2014, Brendan Norman joins the brand as Operations Director, Infiniti EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa).

Appointment of the 42-year-old Australian-born automotive executive is the latest in a line of senior personnel changes at Infiniti EMEA that have also seen the creation of a new Europe-based Product Director for the first time, reflecting Infiniti's focus on growing the brand in the European region. Infiniti begins production for the first time in Europe in 2015.

Brendan Norman is a finance, IT and strategy specialist who has worked in the automotive industry for 19 years, 10 of them with the Volkswagen Group including six with Audi in roles that have included establishing that brand in new market structures. Most recently, he has been chief financial officer for the Volkswagen Group in Saudi Arabia as well as finance director for the SAIC-Volkswagen sales company in China.

At Infiniti EMEA, Norman will be based in Rolle, Switzerland and report to Fintan Knight, Infiniti Vice President.

'Brendan joins Infiniti after having responsibility for nine business units in four vastly different countries,' said Knight. 'He has a very good understanding of what it takes to build a team and make a business succeed quickly. His skills and his experience will be invaluable to Infiniti in the busy years ahead.'

Among his responsibilities, Brendan Norman will head up production planning, distribution logistics and dealer liaison, as well as setting trading terms and overseeing sales campaigns and retail policy with each regional director in the Infiniti EMEA area.

Brendan Norman studied business at Deakin University in Melbourne, Australia, following up his degree in 1992 with a postgraduate Diploma in Business Systems from Monash University. The self-confessed car enthusiast began his career in a bank before joining BMW in Australia.

'I have always been driven by a passion for the automotive industry and its products, while I have never joined a company that did not seek to be number one in its field,' said Norman. 'From what I know so far of the exciting plans and new models in Infiniti's future, I believe my passion has found a natural home.'
