The Porsche 930 Slantnose or 'Flachbau' was a special order program that began in the early 1980s. It was basically a 930 but with a 935-style slant nose instead of the regular 911 front end. Each of the slant nose front ends was handcrafted by remodeling the front fenders.
ConvertibleAnother feature that makes the Slantnose models special was their rarity, with possibly 948 units produced (though the exact figure is unknown). The European versions were usually fitted with the 330 horsepower performance kit.In 1987, Porsche introduced a new option, the 'Turbo slant nose modification' which was priced at $24,000. This could be had on any Turbo or Carrera coupe and included a new front 'clip' with the Flachbau slant nose with flip-up headlamps. Also, the package included the 935-type back wheel arches with grilled, forward-facing rectangular air scoops and extended rocker panels.
