ASTON MARTIN FESTIVAL OF LE MANS SET TO BE BIGGEST YETGaydon, 24 February 2015 - At this year's world-famous 24 Hours of Le Mans, Aston Martin Racing will once again host the Aston Martin Festival of Le Mans, a celebration of the manufacturer's racing history that includes a 45-minute race between cars from the past 11 years.

With more than 50 cars already confirmed of the maximum 60-car grid, the race is set to be the biggest display of Aston Martin racing cars on track at one time.

'It's great for us to be returning to Le Mans with the Aston Martin Festival race,' commented Customer Programme Manager Andrew Williamson. 'In its 11-year history, Aston Martin Racing has developed and built some very successful racing cars so to have them all on track in one place on the 24 Hours of Le Mans race day is something very special.'

Cars already confirmed for the race include the DBR1-2 LMP1, the 24 Hours of Le Mans GT class-winning DBR9 and current models of Vantage GTE, GT3 and GT4.

Each car will have two drivers who will share the 45-minute race as well as more than two hours of practice sessions on the 13.6-km long Circuit de la Sarthe.

'The track used for the Aston Martin Festival of Le Mans race is the same as that used in the main 24-hour event and, as it's on the same day, around 250,000 spectators will be there to witness one of the largest displays of Aston Martin racing cars ever seen. It will be something spectacular to watch and to be a part of.'

Every entrant into the Aston Martin Festival of Le Mans receives two free passes to Aston Martin's VIP hospitality for the 24 Hours of Le Mans, in addition to four Aston Martin paddock hospitality passes, six support paddock passes and two support vehicle passes.

Teams will be given on-event parts and technical support from Aston Martin Racing and will be part of the team's celebrations for the week, including the infamous pre- and post-race parties.
