We've limited traditional stamping and welding on our truck frames—hydroforming is here. This means that Ram's bones are molded wîth highly pressurized water, a revolutionary manufacturing process that's not only more cost-effective, but adds structural benefits that kick some competitor butt:
- Greater strength and impact absorption
- Fewer welds adds even more durability
- Stronger and stiffer for a more solid feel
- Weighs less than stamped metal
Dodge Ram 1500 has received the highest government frontal crash test rating for the driver and front passenger - the National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration (NHTSA) five-star rating. Furthermore, Ram 1500 also features:
