Graceful lines, sophisticated technology, and the available power of a Northstar V8 engine.
3.8L 3800 V6 Engine
With more than 25 million sold, the 3800 Series V6 is a proven performer, delivering 197 hp and 227 lb-ft of torque. The Series III version, now standard in Lucerne CX and CXL V6 continues the tradition of outstanding performance and reliability. Electronic throttle control allows the engine to respond more precisely to driver commands at both low and high speeds, and structural enhancements have reduced vibration for a smooth, quiet ride.
QuietTuning
By reducing noise at its source, blocking the noise path, and absorbing noise in the cabin, QuietTuning ensures a peaceful calm reigns in Lucerne's interior.
QuietTuning uses enhanced insulators, denser acoustic materials, improved sealing techniques, special quiet-tread tires, acoustic laminate glass, and strategically positioned acoustic absorbers and seals to help prevent exterior noise from reaching the driver and passengers. You'll be amazed at what you don't hear.
Air Bag System
Enjoy the peace of mind that Lucerne's advanced safety system with six standard air bags brings to your drive. Its industry-first dual-depth front-passenger air bag reduces or increases the depth of air bag deployment depending on factors such as seat position and severity of impact. And the front seat-mounted side-impact air bags for the driver and right front passenger provide added reassurance.
Note: Head curtain air bags are designed to help reduce the risk of head and neck injuries to front and rear-seat occupants on the near side of certain side-impact collisions. Always use safety belts and proper child restraints, even in vehicles equipped with air bags. Children are safer when properly secured in a rear seat. See the owner's manual for more safety information.
Comfort and Convenience Package
For an additional level of comfort and convenience, this package includes an electrochromic, rearview mirror, Universal Home Remote, illuminated visors with vanity mirrors, intermittent front wipers with RainSense™, and body-colored outside power, heated, mirrors.
Driver Confidence Package
The Driver Confidence Package is designed to allow you to experience the same sense of safety and security in a parking lot or driveway as you do when you're on the road. This package includes ultrasonic rear parking assist to help you detect objects when you are in reverse, a theft-deterrent system, content theft alarm, and remote vehicle starter system to give you even more confidence before you hit the highway.Source - Buick
