2006 Buick Rendezvous news, pictures, and information
Components designed to reduce, block, and absorb sound go into creating the serene ride of QuietTuning. Advancements like composite wheelhouse liners, and laminated side glass help create a barrier to road noise.
Rendezvous' standard 3.5L V6 engine provides smooth power and employs an overhead valve design for maximum simplicity and reliability. This low-maintenance engine delivers 195 hp and offers an EPA estimated fuel economy of 19-city/26-highway in its front-wheel drive configuration.
Four ultrasonic transmitter/receivers built into Rendezvous' rear bumper detect stationary objects at least ten inches high. Sonar waves bounce off the obstacle and back to the sensors in the bumper. The sensors then activate both an audio warning signal and warning lights if you are nearing an obstacle while backing up at low speed. The closer you get, the more rapid the alarms and lights become.
When you start your vehicle, a self-check system with an indicator light should alert the driver that the air bags are working. Driver and front-passenger air bags are standard on all Rendezvous. For added safety, Rendezvous offers driver and front-passenger seat-mounted side-impact air bags to help reduce the risk of injury in the event of certain side-impacts.
Always use safety belts and proper child restraints, even with air bags. Children are safer when properly secured in a rear seat. See the owner's manual for more safety information.
Rendezvous' manual single-zone climate control allows you to control the heating, cooling, and ventilation for the vehicle.
Rendezvous' standard cruise control brings additional comfort and convenience to long-distance driving. It also enables you to set a cruising speed without taking your eyes off the road.Source - Buick
