Peerless had a well renowned reputation for producing luxurious automobiles. By 1908 Peerless used a six-cylinder engine which was added to their four-cylinder unit which was used in their smaller models. The six-cylinder engine was massive and one of the largest ever used to power an automobile. Its 824.7 cubic-inches provided 60 horsepower which allowed the Peerless to cruise at a comfortable 65 miles per hour.
The Peerless Model 60-Six had seating for seven and considered a rather luxurious touring automobile. It carried a factory price of $6000, which was a substantial fortune for many during that era. In 1914 Peerless only produced 57 Model 60-Six Touring cars and this example is the only one known to exist in modern time.
