1933 Plymouth PD DeLuxe Six news, pictures, and information
The PD series was introduced in 1933. The PC and PCXX Six models were not selling as well as hoped, so the decision was made to hurry the introduction of the PD Series. The PC sat atop a 107 inch wheelbase while the PCXX was on a slightly larger wheelbase, at 108 inches. The PD DeLuxe Six sat atop a 112 inch wheelbase. All series had a six-cylinder engine and had a cubic-inch capacity of 189.8.
The radiator filler cap was now located on the outside of the hood and would mark the final year that Plymouth had an external radiator cap. The grille was very vertical, more-so than the PC version.
When introduced, the PD instantly became the most popular model that Plymouth was producing.
