Sold for $8,800 at 2006 RM Auctions.

This 1937 Morris Eight Two Door Saloon was offered for sale at the 2006 RM Auction in Monterey, CA where it was estimated to sell between $10,000-$150,000. It is powered by a four-cylinder 918cc engine capable of producing 23.5 horsepower. Top speed is about 58 mph; 45 miles per gallon of fuel economy is to be expected. There were two bodystyles available, a saloon or open tourer. The saloon versions were a little slower than the open touring versions. The saloon bodystyles proved to be more popular as about 24,000 of the 164,102 cars produced were in this configuration.

The right-hand drive example shown was originally fitted with a two-door saloon bodystyle. On auction day the vehicle was offered without reserve, selling for $8,800.
