'In light of the difficult market situation in important regions, we view our sales performance in the third quarter positively. Our growth in Europe demonstrates that new models are generating additional volume,' says Luca de Meo, Member of the Board of Management for Sales and Marketing at AUDI AG. In September alone, Audi managed to increase combined deliveries of the new Audi Q7 and the new Audi TT by around 4,900 units compared with the same month last year. In addition to the Audi Q7, whose sales more than doubled (+171.0%) in Europe in September, the A7 and A8 full-size models also performed positively. Across all European markets they accounted for combined growth of 14.1 percent. Audi achieved the highest absolute market growth in the region in the United Kingdom: In the traditionally strong sales month of September, deliveries increased by 9.7 percent to 28,778 units. As such, Audi posted its 33rd record-breaking month in a row in the United Kingdom, selling even more cars than in the German market (+0% to 21,710 units). Here, the carmaker managed to increase its deliveries again for the first time this year, with sales up 2 percent to 2,607 units. The markets also performed positively in the Asia-Pacific region in September: In Australia (+25.6% to 2,048 units) and South Korea (+27.3% to 2,993 cars) Audi recorded high double-digit growth. In China, the sales figures of the four rings increased by 2.9 percent to 53,095 cars delivered.
