Brumos Racing is Well Prepared for the Rolex 24 at Daytona

Jacksonville, FL (January 10, 2007) – With much tougher competition than years past, the Brumos Racing team knows that success at the 45th Rolex 24 at Daytona depends on the success during testing before the main event. The team used that knowledge as the driving force to get the results they needed, and by the end of testing, their goals were met. Practice after practice, they worked together to get the cars dialed in using feedback from the drivers and the state-of-the-art telemetry equipment. 'Together, this team makes up the most effective Brumos Racing team to date,' said team owner Bob Snodgrass.

Each driver of the Brumos Racing team produced consistent lap times around Daytona International Speedway. The drivers of both the #59 Brumos Porsche entry and the #58 Red Bull entry, shared information with each other after each practice session. They know how important it is to have a thorough understanding of the new MK XI Riley, and to work together for the common goal of winning. Their team work paid off with their fastest lap time of 1:44.190 placing the #59 Brumos Porsche entry in third place at the end of session 7. The #58 Red Bull entry placed third in session 8 with a time of 1:44.464, showing that the Brumos Racing team is in sync.

With winning an eighth Rolex 24 at Daytona as his motivation, Bob Snodgrass has obtained the help of none other than Manfred Jantke, Norbert Singer, and Gary Nelson for the famous endurance race. They add an essential element to the already impressive and uncompromising team. Their input will be invaluable to the team's performance given that both Manfred and Norbert were Porsche executives in the factory's motorsports department. Gary Nelson was NASCAR's Vice-President of Research and Development and will be working as a technical consultant.
