2007 Ford Shelby GT500 Professional RacerThe result of a collaboration between two automotive legends, the 2007 Shelby GT500 combines the engineering prowess of Ford's Special Vehicle Team (SVT) with the legendary performance and racing pedigree of Carroll Shelby.
This Shelby GT500 is called a Professional Racer for a reason, as it is no casual observer. It is a vehicle that lives to race, and was purpose built for that reason. Beneath the hood, a 5.0-liter 'Crammer' engine is mated to a six-speed sequential race transmission, and produces in excess of 500 horsepower. For able handling as it slides into the corners, the vehicle features 4-piston rear calibers with 2-piece rotors, along with front and rear three-way adjustable dampers. Body modifications include a GT-spec rear wing, carbon fiber nose splitter and 3-piece BBS racing wheels.
Clearly a study in performance, the Shelby GT500 Professional Racer honors the innovation of Carroll Shelby in the best way it knows how: By stepping onto the track to win.
