Weber Sportscar has unveiled their 250 mph monster, a car that favors 'Function' over 'Form'. The car's carbon fiber body has been sculpted to take advantage of aerodynamic design principals, though its appearance has been labeled 'unattractive' by some. The design was created with the use of computer technology which helped bring the concept to reality in just nine months. The car has been given many advanced features, such as a rear wing that changes angle under heavy braking or acceleration.
Weber Sportscar claims the car has a top speed of 250 mph and a zero-to-sixty time of just 2.5 seconds. This would make it among the fastest in the world if these claims turn out to be true. The cars seven-liter supercharged V8 engine is capable of 900 horsepower and 1050 NM of torque. There are different engine management modes that will provide additional comfort with less fuel consumption. The other mode is 'Sport' which allows for more power, aggressive acceleration, and a higher top speed.
To keep the car in the drivers control at this high velocities, the car has been given carbon-ceramic disc brakes with an anti-locking system. The 12-piston calibers should are some of the largest ever mounted on a supercar.
The cars gearbox is a sequential unit with semiautomatic and full automatic shift mode. This makes the car very versatile no matter what the scenarios. Mounted on the multi-functional steering wheel are shift-lights and shift paddles.
As would be expected, the car comes with many amenities as standard equipment, such as keyless entry, remote controlled central lock system, multi-function cockpit display with board computer, climate control, rain sensor, rear view camera, sounds system with radio and CD system, navigation system, and anti-theft device.
The car has been prepared for racing, which adds another degree of versatility to this purpose-built supercar. The car has been equipped with an onboard logger with professional data analysis software, many additional sensors for professional race application to determine optimum performance of aero – suspension – cooling – engine – gearbox and tyres. Additional options are available through the company.
If you dislike the appearance, would the vehicles estimated top speed of 250 mph change your opinion about the car? We have wondered if the designers created the design, stepped back, and were proud of their work? Or, did they disregard the cars appearance and instead, chased after the design that would push their odometer needle as far as it could go?

AerodynamicsThe aerodynamic tuning is probably the most important thing from a super sportscar. Our technicians have spent a long time with the optimism. Over a period of nine months new models were designed again and again. The perfect result can be showed! Reaching the finale speed of over 400 km/h is guaranteed. Important in this case are those contact pressure in the front and in the rear, so that the vehicle remains stable at the street. The engine and transmission interpretation were determined due to these dates. We have a power reserve of 15%, in order to reach the final speed.
The adaptive wing is constructed for excellent acceleration and for best results by braking.
In slow motion is the rear spoiler retracted and will be extended during acceleration.. The position of the spoiler is variable and is affected by the car condition. The rear spoiler will be in a vertical position during the breaking process. The maximum breakpower will be 4'000 N which the car will reach additional.
