Open Tourer

In 1907, William Hillman, a cycle manufacturer of 10 years standing, commissioned Louis Coatalen to design his first car for the 1907 Tourist Trophy. This manufacturer was purchased by the Rootes Group Company in the 1930's depression and is now an extinct breed of British motor cars swallowed up by the mighty corporations of Chrysler, then the French Talbot and intern Peugeot, with the last Coventry, England built Hillman being produced in 1976.

The Hillman built Aero-Minx was manufactured between 1933 and 1935 in five body styles with this being an open Tourer. This automobile sold new for 225 English pounds and was advertised as 'A remarkable sports car.'

Records of this owner's car were lost during the Blitz in World War II.
