The 1992 Mercedes-Benz 300 CE was powered by a six-cylinder, 180.8 cubic-inch engine that produced 215 horsepower and 194 foot-pounds of torque. The DOHC engine added an extra 40 horsepower over the base 3-liter six. The cost to own a 300 CE in 1992 was around $3399.
The 300CE joined the Mercedes-Benz lineup in 1988, available in coupe form with a wheelbase that was shorter than the sedan.
