Joseph, Robert, and Raymond Graham built trucks for the Dodge Brothers before they bought Paige Motors in 1927. In 1928 they introduced the Graham Paige, a well built, mid-priced vehicle. By 1930, the Paige name was dropped and in 1932 the company introduced their famous Blue Streak models.
The Model 835 was named for its inline, eight-cylinder engine and its 125-inch wheelbase chassis. The engine was built by Continental and develops 120 horsepower. The Model 835 was the most expensive Graham Paige offered with prices beginning at $2,750, about the same as a small Packard.
This 1928 Graham Paige sports a unique, boattail speedster body produced by the coachbuilder Hayes-Hunt and is one of the earliest Graham automobiles in existence.
