Audi continues its U.S. sales ascent with 63rd consecutive record set for March
April 1, 2016 by Audi•Sales bolstered by all-new luxury models, including the Audi A4 sedan •SUV interest remained strong with both Audi Q7 and Audi Q3 setting sales records for the month •Audi Certified pre-owned vehicle sales also set a new March record Audi set its 63rd consecutive sales record in the U.S. for March with 18,392 vehicles sold, an increase of 7.5% over the same period last year. Year-to-date sales increased 4.6% to 41,960 vehicles sold. March also marked the fifth best sales month ever for the brand in the U.S. market. 'Customer response to our newly-designed models, like the all-new A4 and Q7, has bolstered sales, a sign of more good things to come,' said Mark Del Rosso, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Audi of America. 'This spring will bring another landmark launch when the next-generation R8 supercar arrives at our Audi dealerships.' Sales were supported by the all-new Audi A4, the best-selling sedan in the Audi line-up, with an increase of 42.4% to 3,226 vehicles sold. The all-new Audi A4 sets industry benchmarks, from semi-autonomous driving features and class-leading horsepower, to standard smartphone integration and the Audi virtual cockpit. Consumer interest in Audi luxury SUVs continued to climb with both the Q7 and Q3 posting new record highs. Sales of the all-new Audi Q7 soared 92.6% to 3,004 vehicles sold for the month, as buyers responded to the elegant new design, class-leading technology and dynamic performance. Additionally, the 2017 Q7 earned a Top Safety Pick+ rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. Sales of the Audi Q3 rose 18.7% to 1,505 vehicles. Audi Certified pre-owned vehicle sales set a new March record, with a 9.5% gain on 4,251 CPO vehicles sold.
