The Italdesign Firepoint was introduced in 1994 as the Firepoint Concept model. At a length of 153.3 inches, the Firepoint had a width of 66.9 inches and a height of 50.7 inches. The wheelbase was measured at 94.5 inches, and carried a transverse front engine, FWD.
The ItalDesign Firepoint was a design proposal for the mk1 Fiat Punto. Fiat requested to all the major Italian deign houses to come up with a design idea for die Punto. A original Giugiaro design, Italdesign came up with the Firepoint. A novel two-plus-two coupe, the Firepoint featured a teardrop roof along with a reversed windscreen pillars. A roadster model was easily created by removing the side and rear windows.
