RC HYmotion4: magic in the making
Elegant, powerful and sporty, the RC HYmotion4 is a concept car born of the passion and experience of Peugeot engineers and designers. This ‘Touring Car' coupé, the missing link between the RC and RC • concept cars of 2002 and the 908 RC (one of the stars of the last Paris Motor Show) is a veritable laboratory on wheels bringing together numerous stylistic, engineering and technological ideas in preparation for the future.With four doors, four seats and four wheel drive powered by the highly innovative HYmotion4 hybrid architecture, this concept car offers the perfect blend of driving pleasure and environmental friendliness. It features a 1.6-litre THP petrol engine wîth a power output of 160kW (218bhp) located at the rear of the vehicle, combined wîth a 70kW (95bhp) electric motor under the bonnet.
Together they provide a maximum power output of 230kW (313bhp) wîth low CO2 emissions in the combined cycle of just 109 g/km, or zero in electric only mode.

The 'RC...', which its full name will be revealed at the Paris Motor Show, is a concept car born from the passion and expertise of Peugeot's stylists and engineers. This 'GT' coupe is the missing link between the Peugeot RC concept cars revealed in 2002 and the Peugeot 908 RC, one of the stars of the 2006 Paris Motor Show. It is a real laboratory of future ideas, bringing together numerous stylistic, engineering and technological ideas in a single vehicle.
The 'RC...' is an accessible and versatile car, wîth four doors, four seats and a highly innovative hybrid architecture.
Its aim: a very high level of efficiency both in terms of performance (with its potential 230 kW/313 bhp) and minimal impact on the environment (CO2 emissions of 109 g/km in the combined cycle or ZERO in electric mode).

Volvo Car Group (Volvo Cars) is now ramping up production by 90 per cent, just to keep up with the demand.
