The 2009 Chevrolet Corvette GT1 Championship Edition will be available on the coupe, convertible and Z06 models. This GT1 package is meant to commemorate the last year of the Corvette Racing C6.R team's participation in the GT1 class of the American Le Mans Series and at Le Mans.
The changes will not happen under the hood. The package includes color options, 'Jake' logos from the Corvette Racing Team, and the team's victories will be displayed on the lower section of the door. There will be embroidery on the seats and center armrests, and there will be black leather sporting yellow accent stitching.
In total, there will be just 600 examples of the GT1 produced. There will be 100 of each model in each color with sales expected to begin in the spring.

Chevrolet and Corvette Racing introduce a limited edition to commemorate a decade of successToday Chevrolet introduced the limited production GT1 Championship Edition Corvettes at Sebring International Raceway. The GT1 Championship Edition (Regular Production Option GT1) commemorates the success of Corvette Racing and the Corvette C6.R:

• Five-time 24 Hours of Le Mans class champions
• 74 victories in international sports car competition

Specific VIN sequence 300001 series for 45Ú Velocity Yellow representing the No. 3 Corvette C6.R
Specific VIN sequence 400001 series for 41Ú Black representing the No. 4 Corvette C6.R
Production limited to 100 per each color and body style combination (600 total)
