1963 Saab 95 news, pictures, and information
The Saab 95 was a station wagon produced from 1959 through 1978, though there were only 40 examples made in 1959. Since so few models were produced during its first year, many consider the first year of production as 1960. In total, there were 110,527 examples producing during its production lifespan.
Based on the Saab 93 sedan, its development over the years followed closely that of the 96. Mounted under the hood was an 841 cc three-cylinder two-stroke engine. This was replaced in 1967 by a four-stroke Ford Taunus V4 engine from other Saab models, including the Saab 96, Saab Sonett V4 adn Sonett III, and the German Ford Taunus.
