1984 Pininfarina Azzurra news, pictures, and information

When Fiat ceased production of the Spider in 1983, Pininfarina picked up where they left off. The Spider 2000 two-seat convertible was produced by Pininfarina under the name Azzurra from 1984 until 1985.

A five-speed gearbox was standard with a three-speed GM automatic offered as optional equipment. Power was from a four-cylinder dual overhead cam engine offering just over 100 SAE horsepower. Other standard equipment included air conditioning and a radio.

The US was the prime market, though Europe could also purchase the vehicle where it was known as the Spidereuropa where it was fitted with a more powerful 1995cc four.
