The most ecological monospace car

The SEAT Alhambra has made its way into SEAT's ecological model range wîth its new ECOMOTIVE version. This one features characteristically low CO2 emissions and fuel consumption levels, and becomes an attractive alternative to its customers by falling into the 4.75% registration tax bracket.

This is the first model in its §egmènt to feature CO2 emission levels of 159 g/km, thanks to its efficient 140 hp 2.0 TDI engine, which has undergone careful modifications to its electronic management. Its efficient 6-speed gearbox features longer gear ratios, especially fourth and fifth, which also contributes to lowering the former figure of 175 g/km.

The average fuel consumption figures of the Alhambra ECOMOTIVE equal only 6 litres per 100 km (6.6 on the former version), while consumption in the urban and extra-urban cycles is 7.8 and 4.9 l/100 km respectively.

SEAT's new car also includes the DPF particulate filter as standard. When diesel engine soot particles are not filtered they remain suspended in the air and attract other harmful elements. Diesel engine emissions contain about 0.3% of toxic gases such as carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons, sulphur dioxide and nitric oxide as well as soot.

Another outstanding feature on SEAT's ecological family car is the addition of low friction tyres on 195/60 steel rims.

With a torque figure of 310 Nm at 1750 rpm, the performance of the 2.0 TDI engine is excellent. The SEAT Alhambra ECOMOTIVE delivers a top speed of 195 km/h and excellent in-gear acceleration, and its dynamic qualities and 0 to 100 km/h acceleration have also improved. On the previous version, this figure was 12.2 seconds; now it has fallen to 11.9 seconds.

The SEAT Technical Centre in Martorell has included sports suspension in the list of standard equipment on the Alhambra ECOMOTIVE. Now the brand's monospace car also stands out for its efficient, sporty character.

The brand's new car is available in the Reference Plus trim level, wîth a top-notch standard equipment level.

More power and performance from a broad range


Five engines are available for the SEAT Alhambra in all, comprising three petrol and two diesel power units.

The Alhambra petrol engine range consists of the 115 hp 2.0, 150 hp 1.8 20VT and the 204 hp 2.8 V6 models. Diesel power comes in the form of the 115 hp 1.9 TDI and 140 hp 2.0 TDI, now also wîth an ECOMOTIVE version. The 2.8 V6 and 115 hp 1.9 TDI models of the people carrier are also available in its 4 version, wîth four-wheel drive, as well as the automatic sequential Tiptronic gearbox.

Generous standard specification


The SEAT Alhambra features two trim levels: Reference Plus and Sport Plus.

Reference Plus*: included as standard are driver and front passenger airbags, front sidebags and curtain airbags for all three rows of seats, ABS, ESP, front fog lights, electrically adjustable, heated door mirrors painted to match the body, tinted windows, chrome inside door handles, front power windows wîth one-touch control, Isofix anchoring points for child seats, cruise control, aux-in connector, CD/MP3 player and 10 speakers, climate control, pollen filter, remote-controlled central locking, three-point seatbelts, sports suspension (ECOMOTIVE version), child safety door locks, volumetric alarm, height-adjustable driver's seat, five independent seats and 16 inch alloy wheels and same size spare tyre wîth steel rim.

Sport Plus*: in addition to the Reference Plus specification, the Sport Plus version comes wîth xenon headlights, sports suspension and 17-inch alloy wheels (not wîth 4-wheel drive), leather four-spoke §teering wheel and gearknob, parking aid sensor and anti-dazzle rearview mirror, 6 CD loader in the boot, dual-zone climate control, height-adjustable passenger seat and front seats wîth lumbar control.

Options available on the Alhambra include standard and high colour navigator, electric glass sunroof, heated seats, headlight wipers, heated windscreen, automatic darkening door mirrors, swivel seats, trailer hitch wîth removable ball assembly, and metallic paint, among others.
