1997 Jaguar XJ-Sedan

The 1997 Jaguar XJ Series was powered by a dual overhead cam aluminum alloy six-cylinder engine displacing 243 cubic-inches and offering 245 horsepower. It had a four-speed automatic and disc brakes at all four corners. The XJR Sedan received a Roots-Type supercharger and intercooler bringing horsepower to 322 BHP. A long wheelbase XJ6L Sedan and Vanden Plas Sedan were also available.

The XJ12 was no longer offered and all XJ Sedans received a contoured bench seat in the back, replacing the previous flat one.

Pricing began at $54,400 for the XJ6 and rose to $67,400 for the XJR.
