The Mercedes-AMG C 63 Coupé Edition 1
Special model for market launch: the Mercedes-AMG C 63 Coupé Edition 1 – inspired by the Mercedes-AMG C 63 DTM racing coupé.
The new Mercedes-AMG C 63 Coupé and C 63 S Coupé are also available as 'Edition 1' special models from market launch. The extraordinary combination of exclusive design and equipment characteristics is inspired by the visual appearance of future Mercedes-AMG racing coupés which will compete in the popular DTM series in 2016. Two exterior designs address different customer wishes. The first variant, available exclusively for the S-Model, is particularly striking: the colour scheme in designo magno selenite grey matt paint with yellow film coating borrows the look of the IAA launch version of the 2016 C 63 DTM and thus highlights its proximity to the world of motorsport. Yellow sports stripes adorn the engine bonnet, roof, boot lid as well as the side lines above the rocker panels.
With yellow-painted rim flanges, the extremely light, matt black Performance forged wheels in a 5 double-spoke design also set a distinctive highlight. The custom sports tyres offer a tangibly enhanced level of traction on dry roads.
The C 63 S Coupé Edition 1 is equipped with a ceramic high-performance compound brake system offering the ultimate in deceleration values and lower unsprung masses, thus increasing performance on the race track.
Aerodynamic package.
The exterior of the second Edition 1 variant is more restrained. The sports stripes are rendered in graphite grey matt and the rim flanges of the matt black forged wheels have a high-sheen cross-spoke design. Sports tyres and the ceramic high-performance compound brake system are available as an option for this variant. In addition, all exterior paints are available for this variant. In both variants, the AMG Aerodynamic package in high-gloss black enhances the racing-inspired appearance. The additional large front spoiler, specific side skirts, lateral airflow breakaway edges on the rear apron, the specific rear diffuser and the specific airflow break-away edge on the boot lid not only reduce lift but also sharpen the visual impression. The AMG Night package with chrome-plated tailpipe trim also features on the series-production version of the Edition 1. Further features are the radiator grille with double plate in silver chrome, the A-wing of the front apron and A-wing trim strip in high-gloss black as well as side sill panel inserts in high-gloss black.

Genuine racing feel.
The genuine racing feel continues in the interior. The AMG Performance seats are upholstered in nappa leather, and come with yellow contrasting topstitching in a specific diamond pattern. In addition, the more sharply-contoured seat shape enhances lateral support, particularly when cornering at high speed. Yellow contrasting topstitching is also found on the door centre panels, armrests, the steering wheel rim as well as the beltlines. Further yellow highlights adorn the instrument cluster, the AMG-specific analogue clock featuring an IWC design and the floor mats.
With the Performance steering wheel finished in DINAMICA microfibre with flattened bottom section, the driver always has the C 63 Coupé securely under control. The middle section trim in a matt carbon colour also gives an unmistakable indication of what the Edition 1 is all about: uncompromising dynamics at the highest level.Source - Mercedes-Benz
