2001 BMW 3 Series

For 2001, the 3-Series BMW was available as the 325i, 330i, and the M3 in bodystyles that included a 4-door sedan, station wagon, coupe, and convertible. New engines were introduced. The 325i came with a dual-overhead cam six-cylinder engine that displaced 152 cubic-inches and offered nearly 190 horsepower. The 330i had a 182 cubic-inch six-cylinder engine with 225 horsepower and 214 ft/lbs of torque. The M3, returning after a year's absence, featured 33 horsepower from the 198 cubic-inch displacement, six-cylinder engine.

The 325i was available as a sedan, coupe and station wagon. The M3 came as a coupe and the 330 was either a coupe or convertible. A five-speed manual gearbox was standard with a five-speed automatic available as optional equipment. Disc brakes were placed in the front and back. Power was sent to the rear wheels with the 325ix wagon and sedan featuring an all-wheel drive system.
