The only Lamborghini Marzal ever produced was in 1967. It was a concept car created by Lamborghini, painted in silver and shown to the public at the Turin Motor Show. It was designed by Marcello Gandini of Bertone at the request of Ferruccio Lamborghini as a four-seater car that could be used in his model line-up. At that time, Lamborghini was producing a four-seater car; actually it was a 2+2 GT car. The Miura was also in production during this time.
The design was daring with its gullwing-doors and louvered rear window. The engine was a Lamborghini 4-Liter V-12, split in half, resulting in a 2-liter V6 that produced 175 horsepower. The engine was matted to a five-speed manual gearbox.
The Marzal became a design exercise with only one ever being produced. Some of the styling was later used in the Lamborghini Espada.
