The Heuliez Pregunta one-off prototype debuted at the 1998 Paris Auto Show. It borrowed many of the Lamborghini Diablo mechanical components and chassis. The name Pregunta is Spanish meaning 'question'. The name was chosen to question the automotive community's knowledge of the Heuliez Groups and their capabilities and abilities. The exterior design was aggressive, stylish, sporty, and bold. This trend transcended into the interior with the formula-one type dashboard by Magnetti-Marelli. The lighting was fiber-optical by DGA. The CD stereo was courtesy of Alpine.

The sixty-degree, mid-mounted, twelve-cylinder engine in 'vee' configuration produced 530 horsepower. The Pregunta could race from zero to sixty in just four seconds.
