After two seasons of racing and development the MT900S has emerged for road use. Weighing in as low as 1,980 lbs. (plus 21 gallons of fuel), and powered by a mid mounted 435 hp Corvette Z06 V8, this ultra light weight high performance vehicle sets new performance standards as it delivers a uniquely exhilerating driving experience.

Primary structure is provided by a carbon fiber monocoque integrated into the striking exterior crafted in cyberspace by Unigraphics design. On a typical 2 mile road course, the MT900S is capable of laps many seconds per lap quicker than any other sports car manufactured US legal.

In Florida a racing car with road permission is built: The Mosler MT 900 S is converted a remarkable car, not only because of its price of 126,000, - we know EUR. the 5.7 litre engine under the hood from the current Corvette. According to Mosler it is not only bear strong with 411 HP, but can be waited also problem-free by each Corvette dealer.

The road performances are impressing with the mating of strong engine and small unloaded weight of 1.000 kg. Degrees times 3.5 seconds offense according to manufacturer with the Sprint of 0 on speed 100. To the comparison: A Ferrari Enzo Ferrari needs 3.7 seconds.

The small weight was reached by the use of special materials. The body and the chassis are mix from carbon and an aluminum honeycomb structure. The material is extremely rigid and very easy. The whole chassis tub weighs about 90 kg. The material consists of individual fiber mats, which are put one above the other. In the furnace the construction units harden out and get the extreme firmness, the carbon in racing made so popular.

For the moment 25 cars for Europe are manufactured. The goal is it to manufacture so many cars for Europe that the Homologation of the FIA is reached. Perhaps one can see then already soon a Mosler racing car in Le Mans. At present the company cares for already racing cars for various customers, mainly for championships in America. In England a Mosler triumphed last year in the GT series. From these successes profits equally the road version, which is closely ajar against the racing car series. Thus the optionally available and adjustable tail wing originates from the engine haven, and also in the interior the sober charm of a racing car prevails: Carbon where the eye looks, to weight-optimized pedals and functional instruments.

Beside the six-course transmission by Porsche a sequential running transmission is to be had, however only in the photon version in such a way specified. Those is again 100 kg more easily and approximately 40,000, - EUR more expensively. The sequential transmission can one however only really hardsimmered recommend - the noise is deafening, insures one with Mosler.

Mosler Automotive today announced that its revolutionary Mosler MT 900S supercar has successfully completed U.S. emissions and crash testing, including California Air Resources Board (CARB) certification, and will be coming to an auto enthusiast near you by the end of 2005.

Conceived and created by automotive entrepreneur and financier Warren Mosler, the Mosler MT 900S is a 435-hp, Corvette-powered, ultra-high performance two-seat, mid-engined road car, with aggressively styled bodywork and race car heritage.

The Mosler MT 900S is an exotic road car with a truly international pedigree, says creator Warren Mosler. Now that it has passed its testing phase, it will be built in very limited numbers for a discriminating coterie of racers, collectors and investors.

The Mosler MT 900S begins with an advanced composite monocoque assembled in Florida from carbon-aluminum honeycomb structural board produced in California by Teklam, primarily to make aircraft floors and bulkheads.

Power for the Mosler MT 900S comes in the form of an iconic American powerplant a 5.7-liter Corvette LS6 powerplant with subtle modifications from stock that drives through a 6-speed manual gearbox. Double wishbone aluminum upper and chrome-moly lower three-way adjustable coil-over shocks and adjustable blade anti-roll bars translate power to the road with all of the aggressive, road-hugging handling and performance indicative of its race car roots.

Final assembly of the car s chassis, body, internals, suspension and powertrain is completed by a team of road car specialists at Breckland Technology Ltd. in East Dereham, England. There it is transformed into a stunning example of cutting-edge automotive technology and beauty, accentuated by its low-slung, flowing lines and 19- and 20-inch aluminum wheels fitted with four-wheel vented 13-inch disc brakes.

Racing versions of the Mosler MT 900 have been making their mark for several years, winning both the British GT and Spanish GT championships, and competing successfully in FIA GT championship races. Currently several international teams from England and Spain are battling for championships with the leading Ferraris, Porsches and other leading makes.

At the mid-May RAC Tourist Trophy race at Silverstone, England, three separate Mosler entries shared the starting grid for the first time and finished second, fifth and twelfth respectively and followed that with another class win at the FIA GT race in Imola, Italy. Before being dropped from the U.S. Grand Am series, MT900s won numerous races, including the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona in the GTS class.

By the end of 2005, the first 50-state legal road models will be available exclusively through one of North America s premier Corvette specialist dealers, Corvette Mike Vietro, (www.corvettemike.com), whose facility in Anaheim, California heads the U.S. distribution and sales efforts for the $189,000 Mosler MT 900S.
