1997 Mosler Raptor news, pictures, and information

The innovative Raptor windshield became a modification to the Intruder after it was demonstrated to decrease drag, increase speed, and decrease lap times. The Raptor went on to win the 1997 One Lap of America and the 1999 One Lap as well, holding the distinction of winning overall all three times it was entered. An all new Raptor 2000 was completed for the 2000 One Lap but was not allowed to officially enter. It was run in 3 events and again demonstrated its superior performance.

During 1997 Mosler Automotive introduced the innovative v-windshield concept into the car and renamed it the Raptor. The split windshield reduced lap times as much as a full second by reducing aerodynamic drag. These innovations and Mosler Automotive's dedication to the low-weight/high-power automotive philosophy have netted it numerous race victories and track records - the most publicized being the Intruder and Raptor's triple wins at the prestigious 'One Lap of America' event (more than any other car)
