2004 Maserati MMC GT news, pictures, and information
Maserati has taken the wraps off its weapon for GT racing, releasing photos of the competition version (called MCC) testing at Ferrari's Fiorano track and showcasing the road-going homologation model (dubbed MCS) at the Geneva Motor Show. It is based on the Ferrari Enzo, from which it borrows most of the mechanical components including the 650-bhp 6.0-liter V-12 engine. The Maserati has a body different from the Enzo's, without moveable aerodynamic pieces, which are forbidden in GT racing. Developed in the wind tunnel, the Maserati's body is more elegant and smoother than the Enzo's.
