The Speedwell GT was a special bodied Sprite created with the help of John Sprinzel. The Sprite had proven to be a formidable contender at endurance racing in events such as Sebring. The body was aerodynamic, featuring a curvy body and curved windshield. Many of its body components were comprised of lightweight aluminum, such as the wings and coupe top.
