VOLKSWAGEN GROUP OF AMERICA WELCOMES STEFAN SCHÜLLER AS EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT, GROUP QUALITY

-After 35 Years of Dedicated Service, Marc Trahan to Retire at Year's End-

Herndon, VA (June 30, 2014) – Volkswagen Group of America today announced that Stefan Schüller has been named as Executive Vice President of Group Quality for Volkswagen Group of America. In this role Schüller will oversee the vehicle quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction efforts for both Volkswagen and Audi in the United States.

Schüller, 52, will take on this position with over 20 years of technical and leadership experience within the Volkswagen Group, including his most recent roles as Head of Product Safety and Product Reliability with Audi AG and Head of Product Readiness/Procurement with Audi AG. A native of Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, Schüller, obtained a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from the University of Hannover.

Schüller will be replacing Marc Trahan who will retire after a 35-year career with Volkswagen Group of America. The transition will be effective July 1, 2014; Trahan will continue to support the business through the end of the year.

Trahan's career with Volkswagen Group of America spans 35 years. In his current role, Trahan was integral in improving vehicle quality, strengthening dealer support, and helping to shorten response and resolution time. Under Trahan's leadership, vehicle warranty claims have been reduced by 54 percent since 2010.
