2005 Dodge Stratus Coupe Puts Fun in Functionality, ‘Fun To Drive'
With its bold design, spacious interior and 3.0-liter, 200-horsepower V-6 engine, the 2005 Dodge Stratus coupe is a 'Best Buy' for consumers lòòking for performance and value.Consumers Digest magazine rated the Dodge Stratus coupe an Automotive Best Buy for the 2004 model year, saying it offers the most value for the money, based on a variety of measures including styling, performance, fuel economy, purchase price and ownership costs.
The Dodge Stratus Coupe also won the 2004 J.D. Power Initial Quality Study Award for the sporty car §egmènt. The survey is based on responses from buyers and lessees of new 2004 model-year cars and trucks after 90 days of ownership.
'The Dodge Stratus coupe provides the power and pizzazz that coupe buyers want at a price they can afford,' said Darryl Jackson, Vice President—Dodge. 'With its bold styling cues, low stance and cross-hair grille, the Stratus coupe is unmistakably Dodge.'For the 2005 model year, Dodge will offer two Stratus coupe models, including Stratus SXT and R/T.
2005 DODGE STRATÚS SXT
Standard features on Dodge Stratus SXT include power mirrors and windows, air conditioning, electronic speed control, tilt §teering column, a six-speaker AM/FM radio wîth a four-disc CD changer, 16-inch aluminum wheels and performance tires, and a rear spoiler. Optional features include supplemental side air bags, a power sun roof and a six-way power driver seat.
Dodge Stratus SXT is powered by a 2.4-liter, 16-valve, four-cylinder engine wîth a five-speed manual transmission that produces 147 horsepower (110 kW) and 158 lb.-ft. (214 N•m) of torque. A four-speed automatic transmission is also available.With more than 34 inches of leg room and more than 102 cubic feet of interior space, Stratus SXT mimics the roominess of a large car. Additional stowage flexibility is created when the 60/40 split-folding rear seats are deployed.
For 2005, new color choices are Brilliant Silver Metallic and Silver Beige Metallic. Additional available colors include Deep Red Pearl Coat, Indy Red, Dark Titanium Metallic, Satin White Pearl Coat, Deep Blue Pearl Coat and Black.
2005 DODGE STRATÚS R/T With the standard five-speed manual transmission or the optional four-speed automatic transmission wîth AutoStick®, a sport-tuned suspension and 17-inch aluminum wheels, Dodge Stratus R/T capably combines V-6 power and performance. Its 3.0-liter, V-6 engine produces 200 horsepower (149 kW) and 205 lb.-ft. (278 N•m) of torque.
Premium features on Dodge Stratus R/T include a leather §teering wheel and shift knob, §teering wheel-mounted radio controls, seven Infinity® speakers, fog lamps, illuminated visor vanity mirrors, four-wheel disc brakes and an AM/FM radio wîth four-disc CD player.
A range of additional features are available on the Stratus R/T model, including a power sun roof, 17-inch chrome aluminum wheels, supplemental side air bags, anti-lock brakes wîth low-speed traction control and AutoStick, which is available on vehicles that have an automatic transmission. SAFETY AND SECÚRITY
The 2005 Dodge Stratus coupe features the BeltMinder warning system as standard equipment. When the system senses a non-belted driver, it periodically activates a chime and illuminates a light in the instrument cluster to remind the driver to buckle up.
Driver- and front-passenger air bags and a rear seat center shoulder seat belt are standard equipment on all Dodge Stratus coupe models. Supplemental side air bags are available as options.
Dodge Stratus coupe also features a standard LATCH (Lower Anchors and Tethers for CHildren) child seat anchorage system and an emergency internal trunk lid release. Available anti-lock brakes wîth low-speed traction control on vehicles wîth automatic transmissions also help prevent wheel lockup in hard braking situations. A Sentry Key® engine immobilizer make it difficult to start the engine without a customized owner's key. The Dodge Stratus coupe also has the Homelink® universal three-channel home security system transceiver.

The 2005 Dodge Stratus Sedan Offers Bold Alternative to Ho-Hum Mid-Size Market

'With its 200-horsepower, V-6 engine and performance-tuned suspension, the Stratus R/T sedan is a blast to drive. It's a mid-size sedan that drives like a sports coupe.'
Dodge will offer two models of the Stratus sedan for 2005: Dodge Stratus SXT and Dodge Stratus R/T. Both models will be available in the new Dark Taupe over Light Taupe interior scheme for 2005.
2005 DODGE STRATÚS SXT
The Dodge Stratus SXT is powered by a 2.4-liter, DOHC, 16-valve, four-cylinder engine that produces 150 horsepower (112 kW) and 160 lb.-ft. (218 N•m) of torque wîth a four-speed automatic transaxle. Also available, a 2.7-liter, DOHC, 24-valve V-6 engine that produces 200 horsepower (149 kW) and 190 lb.-ft. (258 N•m) of torque wîth a four-speed automatic transaxle.
All 2005 Dodge Stratus sedans equipped wîth the 2.4-liter, I-4 engine and sold in California, New York, Massachusetts, Vermont and Maine will be certified to meet California's Partial Zero Emission Vehicle (PZEV) standard. The vehicles get 22 miles per gallon in city driving and 30 miles per gallon on the highway.
Standard features on the 2005 Dodge Stratus SXT include air conditioning, tilt-§teering column, power windows, power exterior mirrors, power door locks, front and rear floor mats, remote keyless entry, speed control, power front disc/rear drum brakes, 16-inch Split five-spoke Sparkle Silver aluminum wheels and AM/FM stereo radio wîth a single-disc CD player.
For 2005, Dodge Stratus SXT will offer a new special Sport Appearance package that will take on many of the design cues of the R/T, including 16-inch chrome clad wheels, rear spoiler, deck lid fog lamps and sporty Camelot instrument panel bezels. The SXT Sport Appearance package will be available in six colors: Midnight Blue Pearl Coat, Inferno Red Pearl Coat, Graphite Metallic, Bright Silver Metallic, Brilliant Black Pearl Coat and Stone White.
Optional features include supplemental side-curtain air bags, anti-lock brakes and low-speed traction control, power sun roof, a compass/temperature display, eight-way power driver's seat, an AM/FM stereo radio wîth cassette/CD player, automatic-dimming rearview mirror, and a premium headliner that includes illuminated visor mirrors, rear grab handles and front map lamp.
New exterior color options for 2005 include Linen Gold Pearl Coat, Magnesium Pearl Coat and Midnight Blue Pearl Coat. Available colors are Inferno Red Pearl Coat, Satin Jade Pearl Coat, Graphite Metallic, Bright Silver Metallic, Brilliant Black Pearl Coat and Stone White.
2005 DODGE STRATÚS R/T
The 2005 Dodge Stratus R/T sedan is powered by a standard 2.7-liter, DOHC, 24-valve, V-6 engine that produces 200 horsepower (149 kW) and 190 lb.-ft. (258 N•m) of torque. The Stratus R/T has a performance suspension wîth front- and rear-stabilizer bars, four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes wîth low-speed traction control, 17-inch aluminum wheels in Sparkle Silver and a tuned exhaust wîth a chrome tip.
Standard features on the 2005 Dodge Stratus R/T include cloth seats wîth driver adjustable lumbar support, satin silver instrument panel bezels, wide body-side moldings, premium headliner that includes illuminated visor mirrors, rear grab handles and front map lamp, a Premium Gold Sound system, which includes six speakers and a 120-watt amplifier, a compass/temperature display, fog lamps and a spoiler on the deck lid.
Optional features include supplemental side-curtain air bags, a sun roof, an eight-way power driver seat, leather and preferred suede-trimmed seating, leather-wrapped §teering wheel wîth radio controls, leather-wrapped shift knob, security alarm system, central door locks, automatic-dimming rearview mirror, AM/FM stereo radio wîth cassette and a six-disc CD player. A new Light Taupe leather seat is also available on the Stratus R/T.
