DR JÖRG MULL NEW BOARD MEMBER FOR FINANCE AT BENTLEY MOTORS
July 25, 2014 by Bentley(Crewe, England 25th July 2014) Dr Jörg Mull, executive vice president, finance of Volkswagen Group China, will become the new board member of finance of Bentley Motors effective from September 1. He will take over responsibilities for Finance, IT and Business Development. Dr Mull succeeds Jan-Henrik Lafrentz, who will leave Bentley Motors on August 31. 'I am delighted that with Dr Mull we have appointed a highly respected expert in Finance and Controlling with many years of experience. I am convinced that Jörg Mull will play a significant role in the future successful development of Bentley,' said Wolfgang Dürheimer, chairman and CEO of Bentley Motors. Dürheimer thanked Jan-Henrik Lafrentz for his successful work for Bentley in the last four-and-a-half years: 'Jan-Henrik Lafrentz has made vital contributions to the strategic development and the financial robustness of Bentley.' In 2013, Bentley reached new earnings records. The operating profit grew by 66.9 % to €167.7 million. The profit margin rose from 7% to 10%. Jörg Mull took over as executive vice president, finance of Volkswagen China on September 1 2007. He worked in Singapore and Tokyo from 1996 to 2002. The economist, who also holds a PhD, then moved to Volkswagen AG in Wolfsburg, where he was responsible for the pricing of product projects. He was head of development controlling at Volkswagen AG since May 2006.
