Monterey, California (August 14, 2014) – In keeping with our signature high-energy auction experience, the first day's activity in Monterey has set an exciting tone for enthusiasts and industry watchers with another two days of high-octane action still to come.

This evening, the auction presented an outstanding line-up of excellent collector automobiles, covering the spectrum from classics, customs, hot rods, and muscle cars, all the way to competition cars, classic sports cars, and jaw-dropping modern 'supercars.' Attracting spirited bidding and leading the charge in Monterey was an outstanding 1966 Sunbeam Tiger which achieved jaw dropping results, by reaching a sold price of $149,600.

Following an excellent start, we are preparing for tomorrow's Day Two action, with highly anticipated auction consignments including a 'cost is no object' restored 1958 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Roadster, legendary hot rod builder Boyd Coddington's last build: a 1938 Lincoln Custom, and a very early Shelby invoiced 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429 with a NASCAR spec engine.
