This Martin was built for Air Force General William 'Billy' Mitchell of World War I fame. The Martin (along with a smaller called the Martinette) was presented at the 1932 National Automobile Show in New York. The Great Depression was instrumental in the demise of the Martin. It is one of three prototypes built and the only survivor.
