The Benham was a component car using a Continental engine and Timken bearings and axles. Only 19 Benhams were produced before George Benham filed for bankruptcy. The car is a carryover design of S&M car which fell into bankruptcy and producing 40 cars. This Benham is probably the only one, of the 19 originals, still surviving.
