Sunoco returned to Indianapolis with Donohue and the Penske team in 1972 and this time the Sunoco Lola T-152 took it all, winning the most coveted trophy in North American motorsport - the Borg-Warner trophy for the Indianapolis 500 Champion.
Having won it all in Trans-Am with three championships in five years, Sunoco took Donohue to a new racing venture and, in the process, helped put Porsche on the North American racing map.

The Sunoco Porsche 917/10 was entered into five races of the 1972 Can-Am series, winning once and getting two seconds and a third. This performance captured fourth place in the championship - not bad for only contesting half of the races.

The Porsche 917/10 had awesome power and quality-Sunoco racing fuel was just the match to make sure it performed reliably. To this day, Sunoco is the fuel of choice for Toronto Porsche Club and for owners of high-performance sports cars of all makes.
