    The cameras have stopped, the cars have left, the reports have been written, and the Pebble Beach Concours has begun to fade from the memories of many. With this being the most famous concours in the United States, it is heavily attended by members of the media. We decided to wait a few months before releasing our coverage of the event, allowing the re-visitation of this historic occasion at a future date. We have waited long enough and we are pleased to present coverage of the 55th Annual Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.

    There are many reasons why the Pebble Beach Concours is the United States most exquisite and prestigious automotive event. The breathtaking scenery and the elegant automobiles are two of the prominent reasons for its success. The week-long events that lead up to this historic occasion only amplify the celebration of all things beautiful in the automotive community, and the many memorable accomplishments that were ascertained throughout the years. The scenic backdrop of the historic Lodge at Pebble Beach was a beautiful sight for these magnificent automobiles.

    This year the featured marque was Alfa Romeo, the famous Italian automobile manufacturer that has produced legendary and beautiful creations since its inception in the early 1900s. The even also celebrated the 75th anniversary of Pininfarina Designs and the 100th anniversary of Delage.

With its powerful 250 bhp, 3.2-litre six-cylinder engine and quattro permanent four-wheel drive, the Shooting Brake Concept produces a quality of road behaviour that in every respect lives up to its visual impact. The study vehicle sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.0 seconds, and its top speed is electronically governed at 250 km/h.

Powered by a zero-emission fuel cell drive with an output of 85 kW/115 hp, the compact-class car with a family-friendly design consumes the equivalent of 2.9 litres of fuel per 100 kilometres and has an operating range in excess of 400 kilometres.

    'Our job as designers is to push the boundaries of conventional thinking, said Trevor Creed, Senior Vice President – Design, Chrysler Group. 'On this project we imagined a new small super-efficient powertrain that allows freedom for the designer to create a new solution for future transportation.'

    The Fall Festival at BeaveRun occurred during the early part of September 2005 at the BeaveRun MotorSports Complex in Wampum, PA. The festival included an inaugural Concours d'Elegance, The Altered Gas - Hot Rod Circus, Viper Days and The Beaver County Cruise. Proceeds from the two day event fund the construction of a children's play area in the Emergency Department at the Medical Center, Beaver.

    The Festival began with a fantastic road tour of western Pennsylvania. Hors d'oeuvres prepared by some of the finest chefs in the area, live music, an auction of fine artwork, a Bertil Roos Driving School give-a-way worth $3000 and track rides provided by MINI of Pittsburgh were just a few of the attractions that occurred during the two day celebration. Additional events included live entertainment, karting rentals and races, muscle car displays, acceleration trials, food, vendors and fireworks at dusk.
