•  National Packard Museum
  The National Packard Museum opened on Sunday, July 4th, 1999, the first day of the Packard Centennial Celebration in Warren, Ohio. This 7500 square foot facility sits next to Packard Music Hall and Packard Park in the city's historical district.
  
  Since 1990, the museum had occupied three temporary sites until a permanent home for the Packard histories was located. In October 1996, the City of Warren offered the museum a 7.5 acre site of a former swimming pool on Mahoning Avenue in Warren. The estimate of $500,000 to convert the pool building and grounds into a museum prompted a capital fund-raising campaign.
•  Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder
  Two years after the launch of the Coupé version of the Gallardo, Automobili Lamborghini is presenting the new Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder at the Frankfurt Motor Show. This latest addition brings the marque's range of supercars to four models.
  The Gallardo Spyder is not just an open-top version of the Coupé, but is a completely new model. It has an attractive new design and a unique system for opening and closing the fabric roof that utilises the engine compartment to store the folded roof.
  
  The Lamborghini Centro Stile and engineers from the Research and Development team have worked in close partnership to develop this new design and to bring these clean and sharp lines on the road.
•  Mini Concept Frankfurt
  Exactly 45 years after the launch of the Mini Traveller in September 1960, MINI is presenting the MINI Concept Frankfurt at the 2005 Frankfurt Motor Show – a design study re-interpreting the philosophy of the little Traveller from Great Britain through a new concept of 'Travelling in Style' befitting the beginning of the 21st century.
  In its overall look and appearance, this concept car with numerous design features in the meantime acknowledged as genuine icons is typical of MINI all the way. And numerous innovations both inside and outside are equally typical of the brand: Wide-opening doors with parallelogram kinematics characterise this very special car in the same way as its coupé-like look without a B-pillar, the new silver metallic paintwork and exquisite materials within the interior.
  
  The MINI Concept Frankfurt also quotes the classic Mini Traveller also through its elegant Estate design boasting a symmetrically split double door at the back as well as split rear side windows.
•  61st International Motor Show
  A glittering display of innovations will emphasize the importance of the 61st International Motor Show (IAA) Cars as the world's leading automotive trade fair. The vehicle manufacturers alone will present 122 new developments, 80 of them world premieres. The new vehicles will include the Audi Q7, the BMW 3 Series Touring, the Fiat Grande Punto, the Honda Civic, the Mercedes S Class, the Opel Astra TwinTop, the Peugeot 407 Coupé, the Porsche Cayman S, the Renault Clio, the Volvo C70 convertible and the VW Passat Variant. And just the German producers will display a total of 77 new developments. The suppliers' driving force behind innovation will be showcased by another 107 new developments.
•  Meadow Brook Concours d'Elegance
  In its 27th year, Meadow Brook Concours d'Elegance is one of the largest and most prestigious classic car events in the world. It commands the presence of some of the world's foremost car collectors, auto executives, auto enthusiasts and automotive media. It takes place at scenic Meadow Brook Hall, the fourth largest historic house museum in the United States.
  
  'Each year, the Concours at Meadow Brook becomes more spectacular, and our ultimate aim is to make it the best collector car show in the world,' said Lolly Bezy, the event's executive director. •  Donate to the Hurricane Katrina relief effort.
  Victims of Hurricane Katrina are attempting to recover from the massive storm that is still making its way across the Mid-Atlantic States. American Red Cross volunteers have been deployed to the hardest hit areas of Katrina's destruction, supplying hundreds of thousands victims left homeless with critical necessities. By making a financial gift to Hurricane 2005 Relief, the Red Cross can provide shelter, food, counseling and other assistance to those in need.
