•  SUZUKI REVEALS NEW 2010 KIZASHI SEDAN
  American Suzuki Motor Corp. (ASMC) takes a bold step forward today. Known primarily as a maker of small vehicles and high-performance motorcycles, today marks the global debut of the 2010 Suzuki Kizashi (pronounced 'Kee-Zah-Shee'), the company's first entry into the all-wheel-drive sport sedan segment. Benchmarked against some of the leading cars in the world, the all-new 2010 Kizashi becomes an instant car-of-the-year contender in its own right. With the launch of the Kizashi, Suzuki delivers a unique blend of dynamic performance attributes with premium design aesthetics and craftsmanship yet to be experienced in this category. Scheduled to arrive in North American showrooms this winter, the Kizashi will serve as the company's flagship vehicle, further expanding and strengthening its current product line of high-quality small cars, trucks and SUVs.

•  ITALIA - Ferrari's innovative new V8
  While it's true that every Ferrari is innovative by definition, it's equally true that in the course of the Prancing Horse's history, certain cars have marked a genuine departure from the current range. This is very much the case with the Ferrari 458 Italia, which is a massive leap forward from the company's previous mid-rear engined sports cars.
  
  The new model is a synthesis of style, creative flair, passion and cutting-edge technology, characteristics for which Italy as a nation is well-known. For this reason Ferrari chose to add the name of its homeland to the traditional figure representing the displacement and number of cylinders.

•  Lincoln Continental Mark V
  This car is a Bill Blass Designer Edition; all such editions were in Midnight Cordovan with either leather or fabric interiors. The base price for the Mark V was $12,099; however, Bill Blass editions were in the $14,000 range.
  
  The engine displaces 460 cubic-inches and produces 210 horsepower. The car weighs 4,567 pounds, with a 120.4 inch wheelbase, and is 230.6 inches long. This car received AACA 1st Junior Awards at Charlotte, NC in 2008, and AACA Senior Awards at Cumberland, MD in 2008.
•  All-New 2010 Acura ZDX Four-Door Sports Coupe Will Feature Dramatic Styling, Outstanding Performance and Advanced Technology
  The all-new provocative 2010 ZDX four-door sports coupe will arrive at Acura dealerships with dramatic styling, outstanding performance and the latest in advanced technology. •  Audi A5 Sportback
  Audi is presenting a new vehicle concept – the Audi A5 Sportback. The five-door model with the long, flowing rear end unites the best of various vehicle genres: the emotion and elegance of a coupe, the comfort of a sedan and the practicality of a station wagon. The Sportback joins the Coupé and Cabriolet as the third member of the A5 model family.
  
  The A5 Sportback will be rolling into Audi dealerships in September featuring an emotion-packed design, high everyday practicality, a sporty character and engines that are as efficient as they are powerful. Sales have already begun, with prices starting at 33,650 euros. A further, specially-priced model to follow in 2010 will make the A5 Sportback the entry-level model in the A5 model series.
•  Vauxhall 30/98E
  The first new Vauxhall model, the 30/98, was built in 1913 as a better, faster and more practical development of the Prince Henry, but its career, as a production car, really belongs to the years after the end of the First World War.
  
  The original 30/98 was solidly built, which made it heavy, but it was also fast, and combined impressive performance with good road holding by the standards of the 1920's.
  
  A fully road-equipped 30/98 was capable of around 85 mph, and when stripped for racing the company guaranteed a top-speed in excess of 100 mph for the later overhead-valve models, a capability demonstrated at Brooklands on numerous occasions.
•  2010 Scion xD
  Scion today announced the Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) for the 2010 xD five-door urban subcompact. The xD rolls into its third model year with new standard and optional audio systems and also gains standard Vehicle Stability Control (VSC).
  
  The enhancements to the 2010 xD come with a modest MSRP increase of $150. The base MSRP for the xD is $14,800 when equipped with a manual transmission and $15,600 with an automatic transmission.
  
  The xD's distinct exterior is characterized by aggressive styling— a wide stance, thick muscular body, a long and narrow back window, accentuated wheel flares, an integrated rectangular lower and upper grille, and horizontal headlamps. The xD also features side mirrors with integrated turn signals. The xD rolls on 16-inch steel wheels and 195/60 R16 tires. Customers can choose from three standard wheel covers, which are also shared with the xB.
•  Build #1 of 1 Ford Mustang AV-X10 to be sold at auction July 30
  Ford Motor Company created a truly one-of-a-kind vehicle, the Mustang AV-X10 'Dearborn Doll,' to be sold at auction during the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) 2009 AirVenture Oshkosh, the world's greatest aviation celebration. Ford is the exclusive automotive partner with EAA AirVenture Oshkosh and all of the proceeds from the sale will benefit the Young Eagles organization. EAA AirVenture Oshkosh will be held from July 27 to Aug. 2 at Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
  
  The name Mustang AV-X10 is trademarked by Ford Motor Company and symbolizes an AirVenture Xperimental project vehicle based on a 2010 Ford Mustang The '10' designation represents the model year of the Mustang, plus the 10-millionth engine from the Romeo Engine Plant. The one-of-a-kind, fully-customized vehicle was created by a dedicated Ford team, including Mustang Chief Designer Darrell Behmer, Design Manager George Saridakis and Mustang Chief Nameplate Engineer Dave Pericak, and Senior Designers Robert Gelardi and Garen Nicoghosian.. The sale of the AV-X10 will highlight an evening of festivities at the EAA Gathering of Eagles at AirVenture on July 30.
•  The Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix
  In an economy that has continued to slow and affect nearly every facet of industry, the 27th Annual Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix (PVGP) held strong. The PVGP is unique in many ways - it is an all-volunteer event that is still run on city streets. It has been consecutively run for the past 27 years and attracts nearly a quarter-million spectators. The course has 22 turns, 3 of them are nearly 180 degrees, and top speeds exceeding 100 mph. Obstacles such as ancient stone walls, side walks, street signs, telephone pools, steep infield drop-offs, changing surface materials, and bridges are constant reminders to the drivers that any mistake could be very costly.
•  Chevrolet announces the 2010 Camaro TRANSFORMERS Special Edition
  Fans of the new Camaro and the blockbuster TRANSFORMERS movies can now combine their love of the car and the films with the Chevrolet Camaro TRANSFORMERS Special Edition announced today at Comic-Con in San Diego.
  
  'When the first TRANSFORMERS movie was setting box office records, we had countless customers asking to purchase the 'BUMBLEBEE' Camaro,' said Karen Rafferty, product marketing director, Chevrolet. 'Now, they can buy one with the new Camaro TRANSFORMERS Special Edition. Streets all over North America will be buzzing in no time.'
  
  Features such as an EPA-rated 29 highway mpg on the V6-powered Camaro, Bluetooth phone connectivity, USB connectivity, XM Satellite Radio and OnStar combined with TRANSFORMERS design cues add to the car's status as a 21st century sports car.
•  Duesenberg Model Y Indy Racer
  This 1931 Duesenberg Rigling & Hennin Indianapolis Race Car participated in the 1931 Indy 500, driven by Babe Strapp. It qualified at 110.120 miles per hour and started 6th place. It retired after 9 laps with an oil leak and clutch problems. it finished in 35th and was awarded $275 in prize money. The car participated in the 1933 Indy 500 entered as the 'Jack C. Carr Special' and finished in 13th place.
  
  This original chassis/body survived the years in outstanding condition regarding the group of parts and the lack of modifications to those parts. This fact is unusual for any racing car, especially pre-war racecars. The only other known Model Y Duesenber is a road car, not a racecar.
•  Waterfest 15
  Waterfest was founded fifteen years ago as an annual refuge for an up and coming group of car enthusiasts. As its name proudly announces, the show was for water-cooled Volkswagens only. Long before Waterfest, air-cooled Volkswagens and the people who drove them had created an entire culture of car mania. VW Bugs, Buses, Things, Ghias, and others were frequently gathered in parking lots for makeshift exhibitions. Supremely fast Volkswagens sat next to slammed lowriders. Substance and style, both of a distinctly unique variety, intermingled in a group of diverse cars with individuality on their minds and air in their hearts.
  
  The air-cooled fanatics clung to their lifestyle and to the culture they had founded. As air-cooled cars were phased out by Volkswagen in the U.S., owners of the outdated autos continued to flaunt their pride in large and loyal displays of antifreeze-free gatherings.

•  PVGP Historic Races at BeaveRun
  The Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix is a multi-weekend event that has been in operation for over two-and-a-half decades. It is a ten day celebration packed with car shows, dinners, parades, races, and numerous other activities. It is the largest volunteer-based event in vintage racing and the longest running vintage race event in the nation, now celebrating its 27th consecutive year.

•  Bentley to celebrate 90th anniversary with debut of all-new model at Pebble Beach Concours D'Elegance

  Founded by W.O. Bentley in 1919, the company's first production car, the 3-litre was delivered in September 1921. Over the next ten years, Bentley went on to produce an array of iconic motor cars. At the same time, the exploits of the immortal Bentley Boys – a select group of businessmen, sportsmen and bons vivants – forged the company's proud sporting pedigree both on and off the racetracks of Europe. The Bentley Boys made the legendary Le Mans endurance race their own, winning five times between 1924 and 1930.
•  Peugeot RCZ
  In September 2007, at the Frankfurt Motor Show, Peugeot unveiled a concept car which left no observer unmoved: the 308 RCZ.
  
  The desire to turn it into a commercial reality soon became overwhelming. However, to achieve the transformation from dream to reality required real determination, daring, and a lot of inventiveness.
  
  The stylists and engineers worked together to ensure that the whole vehicle was in keeping with the expectations created by the exterior styling.
•  Mercer Automobile Centennial Reunion
  Though thousands of Mercers were produced, it's estimated that only 120 exist today. Of those, only 100 are thought to be drivable cars. Being the owner of an operating Mercer is in a very exclusive position.
  
  On July 12, 2009, a group of 21 functional Mercers gathered in Roebling, NJ near their hometown of Trenton. A huge percentage of all extant Mercers, the cars were celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of their parent company with the Mercer Automobile Centennial Reunion. Cars came from across the United States to take part in the occasion.
  
  The venue for this celebration was the Roebling Museum, a wonderful site dedicated to showcasing the past of the Roebling Company. The John A. Roebling's Sons Company was one of the most important businesses in Trenton for many years, producing high quality steel cable that was responsible for literally supporting some of America's greatest ventures including the building of the Brooklyn Bridge. The Roebling family that owned the company became very wealthy, setting up the town of Roebling to house workers and diversifying into other businesses. The Roebling Museum is located where one of the Roebling plants once stood.
•  2010 Lexus HS 250h

•  2010 Toyota Corolla
  Toyota Motor Sales (TMS), U.S.A., Inc., announced manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) today for the 2010 high mileage Corolla compact sedan and Matrix crossover utility vehicle, which now include Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) and Traction Control (TRAC) as standard equipment.
  
  There is no price increase for the 2010 Corolla. Corolla's base MSRP will range from $15,350 for the standard sedan with a five-speed transmission to $20,050 for the sporty XRS with a five-speed automatic transmission.
•  2010 Toyota Camry
  The 2010 Camry is on display for the first time today at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS). As the best-selling passenger car in America for seven years running and 11 of the past 12 years, Camry continues to redefine standards for comfort and performance.
  
  The 2010 Camry and Camry Hybrid scheduled to go on sale in March, have an array of enhancements, inside and out, including exterior styling, performance, safety, audio and convenience features.
  
  Camry also has an upgraded standard powertrain for 2010. A new 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine equipped with variable valve timing with intelligence (VVT-i) will produce 169 hp for Camry, LE and XLE grades. For sporty performance, SE grade get additional tuning and gets 179 horsepower, 21 more horsepower than the previous four-cylinder engine. The new engine can be combined with a six-speed manual transmission or a six-speed automatic transmission with sequential shift. A powerful 3.5-liter V6 delivering 268 horsepower is also available.
•  A Preview of 2009 Meadow Brook Concours
  Held annually during the first week of August on the historic grounds of Meadow Brook Hall in
  Rochester Michigan, the Meadow Brook Concours d'Elegance is considered one of the most
  prestigious classic automobile exhibitions in the world. In 2009 the Meadow Brook Concours is
  marking its 30th anniversary with a celebration of 'The Best of Detroit'. The event is expected to have more than 250 classic and vintage automobiles plus a wide array of activities leading up to the event.
•  Aston Martin 15/98 Short Chassis
  Founded in 1913, Aston Martin was already a respected maker of sporting cars by the time the 15/98 arrived in 1936. The company had a strong competition record, earning an excellent third place finish in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1935. Aston Martin didn't just build sports and race cars, though. The maker's street cars were very well-appointed and, while some remained singularly sporty, cars like the Mark II Sports Saloon offered signature Aston Martin style in a larger and more comfortable package.
  
  With the 15/98, Aston Martin sought to further diversify its product line. With open and closed coachwork by several prestigious names, the 15/98 was offered as a fairly large Saloon (sedan) or Tourer (drop-head coupe), and as a Short-Chassis sports car.
  
  The Saloon was the least desirable of the models. Though its styling was well executed, the look was not as racy as prior Aston Martins. The car appeared stately and elegant, not sporting. This may have been less of a problem had the car been supremely refined and civilized. Its mechanicals, however, were not given adequate time for development before being used on the production car, so the Saloon was unexpectedly gruff for what looked like a luxury car. Also, the bodies were heavy. The small engines couldn't cope well enough with the high weight to make the Saloons drive like other Aston Martins. The company saw that the car needed improvement, but as they couldn't easily revise the entire vehicle they instead decided to simply shorten the production run. From an initial projection of 100, the number of 15/98 Saloons built was cut to 50. Despite their rarity, the Saloons now change hands for quite low prices relative to other pre-war Astons. If nothing else, they are sound investments as there will always be a market for such an exclusive automobile.
•  Fiat 1500GT
  Fiat has been a mainstay of the Italian automotive culture since its very beginning. Founded in 1899, precious few auto manufacturers can claim to have as much history as Fiat. Though most Fiats were largely plain cars known for their accessibility to the Italian people, the company knew how to make a good sports car.
  
  Like any distinctly Italian car maker, Fiat loved beautiful cars filled with personality and heart that could be driven confidently on the track. Though most of the company's offerings were subdued, the well-engineered little cars made solid foundations to build upon.
  
  One of the best features of the early Italian car industry was its manufacturers' willingness to contract out work to companies that knew how to do a job right. Alfa Romeo and Maserati knew how to make great and powerful chassis. Why should they have wasted their time styling bodies? Those companies had a great tradition of letting the real stylists design cars for them. Pininfarina, Zagato, Frua, Touring—these coachbuilders, or carrozerrie, knew how to design and build bodies better than the mechanically inclined engineers of famous car makers.
•  McKee MK12C
  This McKee Formula 5000 car was constructed in 1969 and has a top speed that is said to be around 175 mph. It is one of 3 F5000 McKee MK12's constructed and was the 1971 winner of the June Spirits race. It won 9 SCCA National Races from 1969 through 1971. It set track records at 8 SCCA National Races and was raced in SCCA Competition until September of 1976.
•  2010 GMC Yukon Hybrid
  The GMC Yukon Hybrid broke ground with the world's first production 2-Mode full hybrid propulsion system, which on the 2WD model offers 21 mpg in city driving – a 50-percent improvement over non-hybrid models. The lineup now includes the distinctive Yukon Denali Hybrid, which infuses a new level of luxury into the efficient utility vehicle.
  
  Along with exceptional fuel economy, the Yukon Hybrid and Yukon Denali Hybrid deliver full-size capability – up to 6,200 pounds (2,812 kg) of towing capacity (2WD) and standard eight-passenger seating capacity.
  
  Yukon Hybrid models are built on GM's full-size SUV platform, which incorporates features such as a fully boxed frame, coil-over-shock front suspension, rack-and-pinion steering and a premium interior that bolsters the vehicle's comfort, quality and capability. Wide front and rear tracks enhance handling and lower the center of gravity for a more confident road feel.

•  2010 Scion tC
  The fun-to-drive Scion tC brings youthful style and upscale refinement to the sporty subcompact segment and enters the 2010 model year with one new exterior color, Nautical Blue Metallic which replaces Blue Ribbon Metallic. tC continues to bring value to the Scion lineup with its generous standard content and EPA fuel economy estimates of 20 city/27 highway for the manual transmission and 21/29 for the automatic.
  
  The tC's front fascia is distinguished by an upper grille, lattice lower grille and projector-type low-beam headlights with black trim in front. Graceful lines flow from the headlights, across the beltline to the rear taillights with round combination lamps.

  EPA-estimated fuel economy for both 2WD and 4WD models is 21 mpg in the city and 22 on the highway. With the 26-gallon (98 L) fuel tank, Sierra Hybrid delivers a cruising range of more than 500 miles.
  
  The Sierra Hybrid is offered in the Crew Cab body style on both 2WD and 4WD models. Each model is equipped with several standard, popular features, including StabiliTrak electronic stability control system, a locking rear axle and a trailering package. Sierra Hybrid also offers dual-stage frontal air bags and head curtain side air bags, and it is the only full-size truck with five-star side-impact ratings in federal crash tests.

•  2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe
  For the mid-2010 model year, the Genesis Coupe has been upgraded with an optional in-dash navigation unit and a new multi-gauge information display screen. This system provides new features including Bluetooth streaming audio capability. This easy-to-use unit can be controlled via 6.5-inch WVGA touchscreen or voice-activation by headliner-mounted microphone.
  
  The system features 8GB of USB memory and comes matched with the Infinity 10-speaker, 360-watt sound system which plays compact discs, accesses digital music files employing Bluetooth streaming audio or allows driver and passenger to access their personal listening devices through the iPod®/USB/auxiliary inputs. Bluetooth streaming audio wirelessly streams music from their phone to the Navigation system. Also with a Bluetooth-enabled phone one can look up a local restaurant and call for reservations before plotting the route. The XM Satellite Radio interface is also integrated into the navigation unit and features channel logos and real-time NavTraffic. XM Satellite Radio and NavTraffic service are complimentary for the first 90 days. A subscription is required to continue service. The system is also updateable via the USB port and the new multi-gauge information display features a high resolution clock, instantaneous fuel economy and torque readouts. The touch-screen navigation-equipped Genesis Coupes will begin arriving in dealerships in the summer of 2009.

•  Every car sells at Old Car Heaven Museum Auction
  Enthusiasts packed the Old Car Heaven Museum in Alabama at the end of June, as Worldwide Auctioneers sold over 170 cars from the museum collection. The two day sale attracted hundreds of bidders from across the country and even further afield, resulting in a total sale of $3.3 million. The collection encompassed an eclectic assortment of automobiles from the early 1920's to the late 1960's, some completely original, others carefully restored. With the atmosphere in the auction arena decidedly upbeat, high sales went to a 1961 Chrysler 300G Convertible at $137,500, along with a plethora of strong prices realized by many others.
•  Jaguar XKR Goodwood Special
  The fastest Jaguar ever will make its UK debut later this week at the famous Goodwood Festival of Speed. The Jaguar's XFR Prototype made its record-breaking run at the legendary Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah last November, reaching a stunning top speed of 225.675mph.
  
  The XFR Prototype, which will be driven by Rocketsports Racing owner, Paul Gentilozzi, the man behind the wheel at Bonneville, appears in Goodwood's 'First Glance' category. A one-off Jaguar XKR will join the 'Supercar run', driven by Mike Cross, Jaguar's Chief Engineer of Vehicle Integrity.

•  One of the most important Duesenbergs to grace Worldwide Auctioneers The Auburn Auction
  Serious collectors will get a unique opportunity to acquire what is considered as one of the most important Duesenbergs ever built at Worldwide Auctioneers second The Auburn Auction in September. The company has confirmed that the one and only Duesenberg Model J Prototype, the sole Model Y ever completed, will join an illustrious line-up of early consignments. •  32nd Annual Ault Park Concours d'Elegance
  The 32nd Annual Ault Park Concours d'Elegance, held in the city of Cincinnati, Ohio, had over 230 rare and historic vehicles in the scenic gardens of Ault Park. 'We had an amazing event this year, particularly considering the current economic conditions. Not only did we have record attendance for Sunday's Concours, our Friday night fundraising event and Saturday countryside tour and garage party were extremely well-attended' said Sue Willis, Executive Director of the Cincinnati Concours d' Elegance Foundation.
  
  This years event celebrated 'Excellence in German Design and Engineering,' land speed record vehicles, and Morgans 100th anniversary.
•  The DKW F7
  The DKW F7 was produced from 1937 through 1938 and was one of the early vehicles to use a front-wheel drive configuration. Power was from a two-cylinder two-stroke engine that gave the car a top speed of about 50 mph.
  
  This DKW F7 was recently on display at the Ault Park Concours. It sat next to another pre-WWII, German FWD drive car, the Adler Trumpf JR.
