2017 Ruf CTR3

The German car manufacturer Ruf Automobile introduced the CTR3 at the Bahrain International Circuit on the 20th anniversary of the original Ruf CTR on April 13th of 2007. The Porsche Cayman was modified with a 3.7 liter twin-turbocharged flat six engine offering nearly 700 horsepower. The engine used a dual overhead camshaft valvetrain, a compression ratio of 9.2:1, and a Bosch Motronic ECU. The flat-six was fitted with a pair of KKK K24 twin-turbochargers and two air-to-air intercoolers.

The standard transmission was a 6-speed sequential manual unit along with a limited-slip differential. The Clubsport models received a 7-speed dual-clutch unit.

The CTR3 Clubsport version was unveiled at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show. It received a revised engine with horsepower rising to 788 PS.
