Roadster

The Kurtis 4000 was produced from 1952 until 1956. This Kurtis 4000 Champ Car, driven by Jack McGrath, qualified on the front row (3rd place) at the 1953 Indianapolis 500 and finished 5th. It was later sold to the Whittington brothers who ran the car in several dirt races. This car ran in the Champ Car Races for 20 years on dirt and paved tracks. It also ran in the Pike's Peak race in 1962.

The current owner runs the car in antique races five or six times per year and has owned the car for over a decade. Currently, the car is powered by an Offenhauser 270 with Hilborn injection. There are disc brakes in both the front and the rear.
